God's Plan for You
72God's Plan For You
If you are like me, there are times in your life that you do not understand what God's Plan For You is. Most of the time it is in the middle of a soul battle and when I feel the weakest. I do not think it is uncommon to question sometimes why we are where we are in life and why we are going in a certain direction, time after time and year after year...same old, same old. Things should be different, we love the Lord, we are Christians and life should be better than this for us. How do we understand that this situation, whatever it might be; financial problems, family issues, addictions, relationship problems and the list could go on, just how could this be God's Plan for us? It seems that no matter how we try to prevent the same situation from occurring again, here it comes right back, bam! Do you relate to this? Here we are wondering again, why is this God's Will?
First let me say, that I do not believe that it is God's will for us to have bad things happen to us. The scripture states in Psalms 84:11- "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly". King James Version. I think we have to get that straight first, He wants us to be happy people and have an abundance of things that are good and knowing this is a step toward our spiritual growth in our lives. He is not the author of these repeated scenes in our lives. He does not point a finger at you or me and say that today is the day I am going to let Linda have it again, here it goes, she is going to have trouble paying her bills this month. That just does not happen. God's Plan For You is not bad stuff, it is good stuff.
What we have is just part of life and life is sometimes unfair, for whatever reason. We may have done everything just right and still we are reaping some kind of sorrow, we feel is unjustified. These things cannot always be explained but if we are to continue our Christian walk, we must keep our faith that whatever the reason is; it is to help us grow and be stronger and that somehow it fits into God's Plan For You. Let's put it this way; could it be that you are walking a far off, about to get to the dangerous point and fail Him? I know it is an everyday battle sometimes and it is not always easy to win in the face of trials that come straight from "you know who" and I am not talking about the Lord. Adversity, most of the time puts us on our knees, don't you think? I am not immune to this myself and I have asked the same questions I am presenting here...if we are God's children, then why are we suffering so? Of course He did not get anyone laid off from their job. He did not bankrupt anyone. He doesn't do that...these things are brought on by how we life our life and if we loose a job (now days) it is due to the economy, not God. If you keep your trust in Him, He will provide the things you need, not some of the time, but all of the time. I have seen Him make provisions for my family just in time!
Members of our family and our children especially, do not always believe like we want them to and their actions are no reflection on you or me. We cannot control anyone but ourselves and yes it hurts us to see how they hurt themselves but we can only pray for their deliverance. There is an old saying that "you can lead a horse to water; but you can't make him drink". That is so true. You can pray and pray for that family member but if they do not seek God's face themselves, there is nothing you can do other than keep on praying. God's Plan For You is that you seek His face continually, walk in the acknowledge that God's love never changes for us. He is always there if we seek Him and he will lighten our burdens. He wants to keep a Thankful Heart, I do believe that, we always no matter what is wrong, we have reasons to be thankful. God's Plan For You is peace and joy and love. God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving.

thanks for this hub, in fact it was the very thing I was thinking about today. Even though I am a bit late, thanks for this wonderful hub.
Dear Sister...
Every time I come across hubs like these, I smile and God within me rejoices and shines refulgent. My mission in this life is to get to love all my brothers and sisters as Children of God. I do not care for viewpoints on who God is for anyone. If God for you is an All-loving Parent, and you love every human being as your brother or sister and you honor and respect God´s Creation in all its expression, God dwells within you and you are conscious of His Presence. We are not here to pass judgment, but to love and give love freely as it has been freely given by Our Heavenly Parent to us. I like your sweet and humble attitude, I will be pleased to follow you, dearest Linda. Rated up, useful and beautiful and Stumbled Upon...
Warmest hugs and infinite heavenly blessings,
Al
Great Hub! This was like a nice daily devotion. Thank you for sharing.
I totally believe that He has a plan for all his children. Sometimes, however, we want to "do our own thing."
Thank you for the inspiritation, hope and blessing of this message. If we could just let go and let God. Peace :)

I feel today like I hit gold and found someone I truly identify with here on hubpages. That is rare. And there are so many "nice" people, leaving comments about your spiritual "food". What a feast! God does indeed test us and bring us to our knees, my life is testimony to that. I pray you have a wonderful day, and please visit my hubs also. We have much in common my friend!
Thank you so much for your heart. It is always encouraging and refreshing to listen to someone share the message of hope, and it was my pleasure to listen as you shared.
That was just what I needed to read today.
You said it well, there are many Twists and Turns that leads to the pathway of Identity. But,many have and will be assured and confident of the same. Thanks for bringing this to the table.
What a great read. I enjoyed your reminder of what God's plan is for us. I agree with you that there's always something to be thankful for -- which can be difficult when we're in the midst of our own drama. But as you reminded: Seek Him to lighten our burden. Thank you for sharing.
