Life Coaching- How to find your own Success Story

Making a decision to be successful is one of the most important moments of our life, I am sure. Finding ways to view the accomplishments we have already made is part of the ploy. Why do I say this? Because I believe that most of us already have a Success Story.

I want you to think about your life and focus not on the negative but the positive. It is there, and you can find it. All of us have up to this point done something worth telling and something worthy to be praised. Do not short change yourself and when you find your success story you can then walk on and accomplish something greater. There is greatness in most all of us. I am sure you have heard the story of the old man that no one knew much good to say about him at his funeral; one man got up and said, “he sure could whistle good.”

 

Okay, let me give you some pointers here….

You are successful if you have a loving relationship and even more successful if you know that “the grass is NOT greener on the other side.”

You are successful if you have beautiful children who love and respect you and you are even more successful if you “taught them that real life is about integrity, tolerance, love thy neighbor as thyself and that they should love themselves to love others. Instead of teaching them to be popular and that having “things” does not define one.”

You are successful in that you have become a person who has found the need to improve or define your walk in life to include, your body, mind and soul.

You are successful because you know that being mediocre is okay but you see yourself going further.

You are successful if you have learned to listen before you speak and speak after you have thought.

You are successful if you learned to respond to other humans with respect and dignity.

You are successful if you know that today should be lived as if it were your last day.

You are successful because you do not need to tear someone else down to get where you want to go.

You are successful because you do not believe in claiming another person’s glory, to get where you are going. You desire to rise to another level by your own merits, not on another person’s efforts.

You are successful because you are doing something like writing, which has always been a dream.

You are successful because you believe that all things are possible if you work hard enough.

You are successful because you know that you have already been a forgiving person to someone, somewhere.

You are successful because you know that life is a gift to be thankful for and that you only get once chance at it.

You are successful because you know that you can’t put all your eggs in one basket; for in so doing one rotten one can spoil the entire basket.

You are successful because you know that even sunshine burns if you get too much, so you have planted your own garden, decorated your own soul and you do not wait for someone to bring your flowers.

You are successful because you have helped some lost soul when they needed you most; it did not mean much to you at the time…….but it meant a lot to them.

You are successful because somewhere at some point in the past you gave up something you wanted more than anything for someone you love.

You are successful because even though you have made errors; you have faced up to them and now live differently than before.

You are successful because you decided that being a quality person means leaving the gossip group behind and remembering if they gossip about someone else; they will gossip about you.

You are successful if have ever told someone they looked nice on a day when they felt really dejected.

You are successful if you can take a deep breath and feel no remorse against any other individual.

You are successful if you do not judge another human regardless of what you see; for you know nothing about what you can’t see.

You are successful if you have allowed yourself to cry and feel the pain of some lost soul.

You are successful if you have shown compassion to someone who needed encouragement.

You are successful if you got up this morning thankful for another day to make life better for yourself but others also.
