Success-A Journey

There are many definitions for Success and being successful and it means many different things to different people. Some people have a lot of desire for Success, others become complacent with where they are and want to stay there. I believe that Success is about who we are as much as what we have done or are trying to do. I believe that anyone who obtains Success does it with some work, hard work, some thought, some yielding of oneself to "what if " and keeps on going anyway. I believe Success isn't hard to accomplish or understand because we are the only one that knows what it means for us. No one can tell us actually what success is....we have to feel it to know...

I agree with Mr. Sweetland to some extent that Success is a constant journey. The mind is a terrible thing to waste, I do not know who said that but it is true. My reference to this is if we stop the journey on the road to success, we stop using our mind to create the path and therefore the mind become stale. I do believe that when seeking Success in the Journey...we must first visualize how far, if at all, we will alter our values and hopefully, that answer would be, not at all. There are many things to consider when searching for answers or a guiding light, if you will...for Success. If we can't accomplish what we need to by being true to our Character, our values and our what we stand for, then we are headed in the pursuit of failure.

In pursueing Success we have to, I think, be able to recognize it when it hits...it may not be the blast that we are looking for and in fact, we may have it already. It is not always material things that determine our Success either. I think that if we have raised well rounded, stable children this day and time we have been a Success. If we have a home, a car, food to eat and clothes on our back...we are a success with so much poverty around us. Priorities have to be established and confirmed and we have to make sure we are on the right path.

There is absoluty nothing wrong with wanting to have Success as we have talked about above, I just feel that there are so many things to consider in our pursuit of Success and to truly be Successful, we must first know what we need, what we want, how far we will go to get it and determine if the end results will make us better for having it.
